Even though Laos does not have a large population, it has an astonishing number of indigenous peoples within its borders – an estimated total of three large and different ethnic groups. They are divided into 48 minorities groups, speaking a total of 82 living languages. As a result, there is a wide variety of ancient traditions and customs, most of them associated with Buddhism, which is a major influence in the country. During our 5days/4nights escorted adventure in and around Luang Prabang, you will discover the sights of this UNESCO rated town and meet a numbers of the ethnic groups.
